Словарный запас: тематические фразовые глаголы и их формальные эквиваленты — бизнес, отношения, путешествия, технологии (~42 единицы)
Как работать с этим уроком
- Прочитай — пойми регистровую дихотомию: фразовый = разговор, латинизм = формальное письмо (10 минут)
- Заучивай парами — put off / postpone, find out / discover. Оба должны жить в твоей голове.
- Тренируй переключение — одно и то же сообщение в формальной и неформальной версии.
- Не смешивай в одном тексте — выбери регистр и держись его.
Главное наблюдение C1: В большинстве «двойников» один — фразовый и неформальный, второй — латинский и формальный. Если хочешь звучать «по-родному» — фразовый. Если хочешь звучать «по-деловому» — латинизм. Ошибаются те, кто умеет только один регистр: фразовый в email клиенту = слишком неформально; латинизм в разговоре с другом = звучит надуто и странно.
Часть 1: Регистр в одну строку
Английский язык — двухслойный. Германский слой (короткие исконные слова + фразовые глаголы) и латинский/романский слой (длинные слова норманнского, латинского, греческого происхождения). Тот же смысл выражается обоими, но в разных контекстах.

Это не синонимы. Они взаимозаменимы по смыслу, но не по регистру. Носитель английского чувствует разницу мгновенно — как ты чувствуешь разницу между «отложить» и «отсрочить», между «выяснить» и «установить факт».

Тест на пробу
Услышь предложение и спроси себя: «Если бы это сказали в неофициальной переписке другу — звучало бы естественно?» Если да, регистр уместен. Если «слишком сухо» или «слишком панибратски» — перепиши.

Совет C1: если ты пишешь email клиенту, спроси себя: «Звучало бы это в новостях BBC?» Если фраза слишком «разговорная» — поменяй на латинизм. Если «деревянная» и каждое слово трёхсложное — добавь фразовый или сокращение.
