Lekcja 24: Present Perfect Continuous. Trwająca aktywność do teraz
Słownictwo: długość trwania, kontynuujące się sytuacje
Jak pracować z tą lekcją
- Przeczytaj Część 1 — to połączenie perfektu (L21) i continuous (L23). Jeśli oba osobno są jasne — zrozumiesz od razu.
- Zapamiętaj kontrast z Present Perfect — zwykły perfekt mówi o rezultacie, continuous — o procesie.
- Przećwicz matrycę z for, since, all morning, lately.
- Zapamiętaj trzy typowe pytania: How long have you been doing…?, What have you been doing?, oraz „Why are you…?" → „Because I've been…"
To „czas opowieści o swoich wysiłkach".
Forma:
have / has + been + verb-ing
| Osoba | have/has + been + ing |
|---|---|
| I | have been working |
| you | have been working |
| he / she / it | has been working |
| we | have been working |
| they | have been working |
Skróty: I've been working, she's been waiting, they've been studying.
Przeczenie: haven't been / hasn't been. Pytanie: Have you been waiting?, How long has she been working here?
Część 2: Dwa typowe użycia
Typ A: Działanie zaczęło się i trwa do tej pory
I have been studying English for ten years. — Uczę się angielskiego dziesięć lat (i teraz się uczę). She has been working here since 2020. — Pracuje tu od 2020 (i teraz pracuje). It has been raining all morning. — Deszcz pada całe rano (i nadal pada). We have been waiting for an hour. — Czekamy już godzinę (i nadal czekamy).
Używamy tych samych for i since, co z Present Perfect (L22).
Kontrast z Present Perfect: I have read three books. — Przeczytałem trzy książki (rezultat, fakt). I have been reading for three hours. — Czytam już trzy godziny (proces, długość).
Typ B: Działanie dopiero co się skończyło — ślady widać teraz
I'm tired — I've been working all day. — Jestem zmęczony — pracowałem cały dzień. Her eyes are red. She has been crying. — Ma czerwone oczy. Płakała. You're wet! Have you been swimming? — Jesteś mokry! Pływałeś? Sorry I'm late — I've been waiting for the bus. — Przepraszam za spóźnienie — czekałem na autobus.
Hack: jeśli działanie ma widoczną konsekwencję właśnie teraz, i chcesz podkreślić „co robiłem ostatnio" — to Present Perfect Continuous.
Część 3: Główny kontrast — Present Perfect vs Present Perfect Continuous
To krytyczna para. Różnią się fokusem:
| Present Perfect (result) | Present Perfect Continuous (process / duration) |
|---|---|
| I have written three letters. — Napisałem trzy (ile) | I have been writing letters all morning. — Pisałem całe rano (jak długo) |
| She has cleaned the house. — Posprzątała (gotowe) | She has been cleaning the house. — Sprzątała (była zajęta sprzątaniem) |
| I've read this book twice. — Przeczytałem dwa razy (ile razy) | I've been reading this book for a week. — Czytam tydzień (jak długo, wciąż czytam) |
| We've painted the kitchen. — Pomalowaliśmy (gotowe) | We've been painting the kitchen. — Malowaliśmy (stąd plamy na rękach) |
| He has lived here for ten years. — Mieszkał/mieszka 10 lat (neutralnie) | He has been living here for ten years. — To samo, ale z akcentem „cały czas mieszka" |
Kiedy wybrać który — trzy heurystyki:
1. Jeśli jest liczba, ilość, „ile" (razy / sztuk) → Present Perfect: I have read three books this week. She has called me five times.
2. Jeśli ważna długość, „jak długo" → Present Perfect Continuous: I have been reading for three hours. She has been calling all day.
3. Jeśli ważny widoczny teraz rezultat → Present Perfect; jeśli widoczny proces → Continuous: I have washed the car. (oto jest, czysty) I have been washing the car. (oto ja, mokry)
Stative verbs (patrz L23): know, love, want, have (= mieć), be itd. — nie używają się w Continuous, nawet tutaj: ✗ I have been knowing him for ten years ✓ I have known him for ten years. — Present Perfect, nie Continuous. Z czasownikami live, work, study, teach dopuszczalne są obie formy prawie bez różnicy: I've lived / I've been living here for ten years.
Część 4: Markery Present Perfect Continuous
| Marker | Przykład |
|---|---|
| for + długość | for two hours / for a week |
| since + punkt | since this morning / since Monday |
| all morning / all day / all week | I've been working all day. |
| How long…? | How long have you been waiting? |
| lately / recently | I've been feeling tired lately. |
| these days | What have you been doing these days? |
Zauważ: lately i recently działają i z Present Perfect, i z Present Perfect Continuous — wybór po fokusie (rezultat vs proces).
Część 5: Typowe sytuacje
Sytuacja 1: „Czemu wyglądasz / czujesz się tak?"
You look tired. — I've been working all night. Why are your hands so dirty? — I've been gardening. Why is the kitchen wet? — I've been washing the floor.
Sytuacja 2: „Przepraszam za…"
Sorry I'm late — I've been waiting for the bus for half an hour. Sorry, I didn't hear you — I've been listening to music with headphones.
Sytuacja 3: „Ile czasu już…?"
How long have you been learning English? How long has she been living here? How long have they been married? — Zauważ: be married — statywnie → Present Perfect: They have been married for ten years.
Sytuacja 4: Opowieść o hobby / nowinach
I've been thinking about my future a lot lately. She's been training for the marathon since January. We've been planning a trip to Spain.
